The course titled “Training of Trainer (ToT) for In-person Training – Strategies for New and Experienced Training Facilitators is designed to equip training facilitators with effective approaches to training development and delivery in their individual areas of expertise. It is designed to provide you with a thorough understanding of the underlying principles and practical tools needed to ensure that actual learning takes place in your training environment. This course is designed to help you develop and deliver training which is highly interactive as opposed to very little interaction. It is in 2 parts: 
  • Part 1 is on understanding our learners as adult learners and how they learn;
  • Part 2 is about designing and delivering training to meet the needs of adult learners.

At the end of this Part 1 on Understanding our Participants as Adult Learners, you would be able to:

  • Explain who the adult learner is and characteristics of the adult learner;
  • Identify the various learning styles and their use in training;
  • Identify adult learner baggages and how to deal with them in the learning environment.
